Honestly, I was just getting used to 2008! No page today, but the comic makes its full return next week, so be sure to check back. Today isn't a total loss for you, though, since two new entries have been added to The Adventurer's Guide.

Wow! It's been nearly two years, but here we are 165 pages later and the first part of Swordmaster Odyssey has come to a close. (Cookies to those of you who figured out how it was going to end.) Book 2 will kick off next week, and I'm really looking forward to where the story goes from here.
There's also been an update to the Adventurer's Guide, so check that out as well when you get a chance.
The Pages Look Different Somehow

Why do I always seem to get sick on Fridays? I don't know what this is, but good grief! It's hit me like a lead brick! Good thing I got these pages ready earlier in the week, although if I don't start feeling better soon, next week's update will be pretty lame.
And yes, you'll notice I've caved into everyone's demands. All pages from here on out will be in color. Granted, it takes some four hours or more per page to color these suckers, and I don't expect to shave much time off that in the future. Hopefully I can keep up...

There were supposed to be two pages today, and the other one was inked and everything, but as predicted pages are getting bottlenecked in the coloring process. Hopefully this irons itself out soon, because it's really troublesome and depressing.

I was trying to avoid "painterly" lineless backgrounds on purpose. This is the part where I fail to do so. The results thereof are up to your own interpretation. Bah—hopefully we'll get back to two page updates here soon.
And yes, I did retcon the background. I'll eventually go back and change it in chapter 7 to match. Well, in theory I will anyway.

Still only one page this week. I never have been much of a colorist, so I'm still trying to get the hang of this whole thing. Between that and stress, it's been slow going. Also, I am lazy. Don't worry, we'll get back to two-page updates eventually.

I really wanted to upload the page after this as well because it includes Jessie's response. But it's still not colored yet. Bah! I'm falling behind big time. Hopefully I can pick the pace up here soon because at a mere page a week, this story is way too slow!

And just so it doesn't hit anyone by surprise, Swordmaster Odyssey may be going on an extended hiatus here soon. There'll be a notice in the blog if this is the case. I'm really sorry about this; I'd hoped to get us back up to two-page-per-week updates, but it looks like that's not going to happen anytime soon.

Thought I'd never get today's update up. Stupid Photoshop up and decided that two gigabytes of RAM isn't enough to open a file and refused to rasterize the page. Computers make me want to kill things.

I must admit that I'm rather disappointed with the way today's page turned out. It just doesn't look as good as I imagined it. Maybe that's just me being the fickle artist, though.
In any case, this will likely be the last page until August comes around. I have to order more paper to continue, and I'll be out of town for a bit coming up here soon anyway. Fear not, though. With the exception of the 24th, there should be an Adventurer's Guide update every week until new pages return.

Sorry about all that. I really did mean to start up again this past August. Oh, how time flies! In any case, Vision Riders is doing a little better for now, and what better way to celebrate than with a new Swordmaster Odyssey page (finally)?
And while we're at it, it's time for the annual character poll. Take the time to rate your favorite characters and check back later this year to see how they fare.
Also, what's the deal with the site? Didn't it used to be blue or something?

As the blog point out, I've had no small amount of trouble in getting the next page up. It has been inked and scanned, but it is still not finished. I'll try to get it up sometime today or tomorrow, but I'm not making any promises this time.
